Great stay for backpackers

Staff was super nice, good facilities and great atmosphere all around. Would definitely recommend this to anyone looking to stay over in Taitung for a night or two. Breakfast was to be made yourself and was lovely to do. The common room was really well used in general for relaxing, playing games, socialising, ...

Beds were a bit hard. Location is, as expected, far from the center of Taitung.

What was the highlight of On My Way Taitung Hostel

Very Good

The room was tiny, but it had a comfortable bed and separate bathroom. It's perfect, if you are really on your way and just need a bed to sleep.

The hostel was close to the train station, however 15 minutes drive from the city of Taitung by car. When we checked in, first they were telling us that we could only pay by cash. I was insisting to pay by card, since I booked the stay online, so they suddenly found their terminal to read a credit card. We didn't get any towels, so we had to dry ourselves with some of our clothes. The breakfast was 1 egg and some toast bread per person that we supposed to make ourself, so we rather droped it and bough some breakfast in the city.

Excellent hostel for a visit to Taitung

Excellent hostel ideally located near the train station in Taitung. They have great bikes for guests free use, I rode one into town and through Taitung Forest Park. Highly recommend the accommodation here, the rooms are very clean and modern and the free breakfast was a nice touch. I made friends here with whom I travelled to Green Island. Stay here and you'll be well on your way to a great visit to Taitung!

Helpful lovely staff and nice, clean stay :)

Enjoyed the free breakfast Very close from Taitung train station. Quite far from the main Taitung city and the beach, but loved having access to free bicycle rental. Clean room and facilities, air conditioned.

Far from the main city, city bus stop and parks, but not a big issue as you can borrow a bicycle or the bus to the main city is just by Taitung train station.

Great staff and dog, clean and modern hostel

All facilities were clean and modern, light breakfast included. Free bikes to use. Friendly staff and hostel dog. Staff were very helpful for planning the next leg of my trip. Highly recommended!

It depends on what you want, but the location was a fair distance from the town centre. But very close to the main train station. Many busses leave from the main train station so it's not too inconvenient. If you are fit you can cycle to the town centre.

Nice, comfortable hostel

Nice hostel near the station. The kitchen, room, and bathroom were very clean. The beds were comfortable and I was warm and slept well. You also get a free bike rental which was great! Nice place to stay for short or long term, I stayed for 2 days and would stay again

It's near the station which is great, but a bit far from other places like restaurants and stores, but since you get a free bike rental you can easily ride the bike 10-15 minutes and go to restaurants and explore the area

Felt like a home away from home.

First of all, THE BREAKFAST was AMAZING the people there were so nice ???? They welcomed me warmly from the moment I walked in until the last minute of my stay, guiding me on how to get around / to the city, recommending places I could go... They didn’t just try to get to know me, they even introduced me to other guests, and that made my night there really special. As I traveled around Taiwan, quite a few places made memorable impressions, but staying here was definitely one of the highlights.
